A collaboration by Kalina Terzieva and Raina Vlaskovska
Reaction against oversaturation of the consumer market
Process of creating images no thanks to cutting edge technology
Reflection against a devaluating value system and “common reality”
perception by the so called “middle class”
The old not nostalgic and outdated, but in the sense of
irretrievable loss of cause-effect connections which are a
natural development process, today blurred in variety and likeness
to the similar.
Organic matter of photographic emmulsion, irreplaceable by no
contemporary digital matrix or software.
Theme for the project is “fast” consumption, depreciating values,
commercialization, dissapearance of detail, oversaturation with copies

PHOTOGRAMS
Photograms are images outside “normal” perception context. Their detailed
projections and reflections. Photographic imagery registered onto
lightsensetive material as graphic imprint.
Impossible to repeat.
They are urgent need for difference in pretence of colour , replete
with means of expression, breathing in kitch and unfun colour pictures.
Photograms are a semi-predictable uncertain result in time of
mass photography, revealing ready, clear and ideal imagery before
it is “created” or rather “produced”
We value the classical process before overproduction for moments
of one-time use only.
We use the sensory of this material and the qualities of time.
Cognitive Dissonance is an exhibition of photograms;
